Fri, 02 Nov 2007 15:43:24 CET http://www.mekentosj.com/papers/ 1194014604 Mek & Tosj are pleased to announce a major update to their 2007 Apple Design Award winning application Papers, a program which helps scientists on the Mac to create and organize their Personal Library of Scientific literature. The Papers 1.5 update brings over 100 new features and bug fixes and is the most significant update of Papers we've done to date. By far the most exciting new feature is the support for search engine plugins, it ships with built-in support for Google Scholar, Google Books, Pubmed, Scopus and Web of Science. This makes Papers even more useful for a much wider range of scientists. Papers Papers 1.5 is now also fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, has an improved and streamlined user interface, and more tightly integrates with other applications in your literature workflow. Papers ensures third Apple Design Award for mekentosj Wed, 13 Jun 2007 08:51:32 CEST http://www.mekentosj.com/papers/ 1181717492 On tuesday June 12th, our youngest program Papers ensured our third Apple Design Award in the category 'Best Mac OS X Scientific Computing Solution'. Alexander received the glowing cube) at the Apple World Wide Developer Conference in San Francisco. Papers | 1.0.2 update Mon, 07 May 2007 17:03:40 CEST http://www.mekentosj.com/papers/ 1178550220 Less than two weeks ago we were delighted to release Papers officially as 1.0. Although we were convinced Papers had finally reached the level to make it ready for prime time use (and there was certainly something to say for that), your feedback made us clear that some aspects of the program needed a bit more finishing touch. Today we release Papers 1.0.2 which does exactly that. Of course there will always be issues left as we can't possibly test Papers under all conditions, therefore if you encounter problems please let us know. We are very grateful to all of you who sent us their feedback, bug reports and feature requests. Your help allowed us to create this update. Thank you very much for your patience and enjoy Papers 1.0.2!! | Go to webpage EnzymeX wins Apple Design Award 2006! The Next Real Thing: BioCocoa 2 Tue, 08 Aug 2006 10:03:02 CEST http://www.bioinformatics.org/biococoa/ 1155024182 img src=http://www.mekentosj.com/images/home_item030806.jpg alt= width=93 height=90 As part of the BioCocoa core developers team, we are happy to announce the first beta release of BioCocoa 2.0, the bioinformatics Cocoa framework for handling and manipulating biological sequences. The release will coincide at this year's WWDC. We hope that the BioCocoa project's presence at the WWDC will generate lots of attention from developers who would like to join in our efforts to create a killer bioinformatics framework that developers in the biosciences can use to create stunning new applications. We have fixed many smaller and larger bugs, made many improvements, and even added some spectacular new features like Spotlight integration. At last there is a decent DNA sequence editing and analysis program that is worthy to run on MacOSX, and now it has become even better. Make sure to check it out! To Cut, or Not to Cut. Analyze your constructs the Mac way, never before it was so easy and so much fun! And of course, there is still all the information you ever want to know about over 600 restriction enzymes. Finally you can get rid of all those boring programs that look sooo yesterday. It was used in a study that identifies two important microRNAs as oncogenes in testicular germ cell cancer, the same type that Lance Armstrong was cured from. This work has now been published in the leading journal iCell/i, and besides being co-author on the paper, we have also created the image that covers the edition of iCell/i in which the paper appears! | a href=http://www.cell.com/content/issue?volume=124issue=6 title=Cell Website rel=external class=offsitelink Cell Article/a | a href=http://www.mekentosj.com/targetscanner/ title=Targetscanner webpage class=onsitelink Targetscanner website /a Disctop international Mon, 27 Mar 2006 08:16:43 CEST http://www.mekentosj.com/disctop/ 1143440203 img src=http://www.mekentosj.com/images/home_item230106.jpg Disctop, our little MacOSX gimmick that displays your CD or DVD on your desktop is now also available in Brazilian Portuguese and Danish!
