The fluorescently labelled TAP transporter localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) in these Mel JuSo cells. TAP is an ABC-transporter that pumps peptides generated in the cytosol by the proteasome into the ER where they can be loaded onto MHC class I molecules and presented to the immune system.
