The Science Behind...
Peaks What is DNA sequencing? What can scientists deduce from the peaks in four colors that are found in the resulting trace files? Why are there four different peaks anyway? Learn the answer to these questions and what scientists use 4Peaks for.

How did they do that?
4Peaks would not have existed without a wonderful piece of software. The iolib library of the Staden package written by James Bonfield and coworkers allows reading and writing of most commonly used trace file formats.
